Banda musical Nyacha surge no dia 07 de Abril de 2002 na cidade da Beira, Moçambique quando 2 elementos decidem juntar os restantes para juntos investigarem os ritmos tradicionais típicos de Moçambique (Timóteo e Elidio).
Depois desta junção investigou-se os ritmos e tivemos o primeiro concerto no dia 16 de Junho de 2002 na Beira (Pavilhão dos Desportos).
Depois de muito desempenho, a banda participa pela premeria vez no ‘Festival de Luta Contra o SIDA’ e classifica-se em 1° lugar, prémio melhor banda com a música ‘SIDA Ino Raia’ (‘SIDA Mata’ tradução em Português) no dia 01 de Dezembro de 2002.
No dia 16 de Dezembro participa no ‘Festival Verão Amarelo’ e classificado com 1° lugar prémio melhor banda revelação com a música ‘Sia Piaco’ (‘Deixa Só’ tradução em Português).
Em 2003, a banda participa pala primeira vez no ‘Festival de Música Crossroads’ onde foi o vencedor à nível nacional com o prémio melhor banda.
Participou no ‘Festival Inter-Regional da Africa Austral’ na Tanzânia e teve como prémio gravação de uma colectania de música denominada ‘Mozambique Songs for Life’.
Em 2004, a banda já reconhecida e convidada a participar com uma música numa série de novela denominada ‘Solcity’.
Com muito trabalho e forca não parou de trabalhar, teve o prémio rádio Miramar com melhor banda do top (Miratop).
Em 2004/5 grava o seu 1° CD da música tradicional que ainda não foi editado.
Em 2006 a banda é convidado a participar no ‘Festival Mundial de Tilburg’ na Holanda, com o bom despenho a Mundial Produções. Convida novamente em 2007 para o torneio de Março, no final grava 2° temas musicas na colectania ‘Mundial Move’, com vários artistas da Africa.
Em 2008 a Mundial Produções convida a banda para um torneio na Ásia (Vietname) - uma nova experiência e muito positiva para banda porque conseguiu levantar a alegria dos Vietnameses.
Não paramos de trabalhar porque temos ainda muitos sonhos para concretizar.
Nosso maior desejo neste momento é trabalhar com crianças órfãs vitimas do HIV/SIDA e jovens portadores de várias doenças. Sabendo que a banda neste momento tem trabalhado com o orfanato ‘Jocum’. Pretendemos trabalhar com mais orfanatos e associações que existem.

Nyacha was formed on April 7, 2002 in the city of Beira, Mozambique when two members joined the others with the purpose of investigating the traditional rhythms of Mozambique (Timóteo and Elidio).
The results were promising and on June 16, 2002 the band held their first concert in Beira at the sports stadium (Pavilhão dos Desportos).
After much practicing, the band participated for the first time on December 1, 2002 in the ‘Festival of the Fight Against AIDS’ and won first place with the song ‘SIDA Ino Raia’ (‘AIDS Kills’ in English).
On December 16 they played in the ‘Yellow Summer Festival’ and once again took first place with their son ‘Sia Piaco’ (‘Leave it Alone’ in English).
In 2003, Nyacha won the national championship of the ‘Music Crossroads Festival’ and in the same year went on to compete in the ‘African Inter-Regional Festival’ where they made their first recording on the collection ‘Mozambique Songs for Life’.
Having made a name for themselves, the band was invited in 2004 to participate in a music series called ‘Solcity’ and later that year won first place in the radio Miramar competition ‘Miratop’.
In 2004/05 Nyacha recorded their first solo CD which has yet to be edited and distributed.
The group were invited in 2006 to play at the ‘Tilburg World Festival’ in Holland with the sponsorship of Mundial Productions and were asked in 2007 by the same organization to contribute 2 songs to the African music collection ‘Mundial Move’.
Once again with Mundial Productions, the group toured Vietnam in 2008 where they won the hearts of their audiences.
Nyacha plans to continue working and performing with the same high energy and spirit they have shown to date as they have many more dreams to fulfill. One such dream is to work with AIDS orphans and children suffering from serious illnesses. They have already begun working with the ‘Jocum’ orphanage and hope to assist other associations in the future.
